Who is Samantha Elliston?
I am mother, wife and young grandma affectionately known as Mo-G. 🙂 I love to capture all those little BIG moments in life to enhance family stories and the family legacy to be passed down the generations. My goal is to provide a service to help families establish a legacy and the ability to pass it on to the next generation through photography, wall art and yearly albums. I enjoy capturing formal portraits but my favorite photographs are the ones that showcase the identity and personality of each family member. I strive to capture that uniqueness in each image I take.
In the years to come, you will realize the value of capturing all the moments you can that will transport you back to those memories. Those little moments will seem so BIG when your children are all of the sudden taller than you! Some of my favorites are images of the children all piled in my bed, mealtimes and story time but I also treasure the portrait images showing each child at their best…nice hair, cute outfits and clean faces! You will long to have images of the everyday moments as well as the formal portraits which is why I offer both lifestyle and the more formal posed photography.
I absolutely love love love getting to know each family and watching the whole family grow! I cannot wait to get to meet you and learn about your family. It would be my honor to help you tell your story through photography!
Why I love photography
As long as I can remember, I have had a passion for family, marriage, children and the heritage we pass on to our children. I feel photography plays an important role in the lives of our children and the family unit. Photographic art works can be as powerful as positive words to the soul. Child portraits proudly displayed in the home of a child can build self-esteem while family portraits give each member a sense of belonging and reasons as to why they exist. Children want to know and feel they are cherished. They long to know they are a valued part of the family.
It is a fact; our children are growing up on hard drives, USB’s and CD’s. It is also a fact that our children grow up fast and there is no way to change that fact. That’s why it is my passion to capture the special milestones and phases of life, so they can be remembered vividly and displayed visually instead of stored on a digital device only to be remembered verbally through stories. Portraiture supports the stories of our lives and brings richness to those stories.
